Responsibilities
The successful candidate will possess the following
qualifications:

Programming and software development, code reviews,
cross-training and mentoring for other staff members
-
Maintain technical documentation for all new development,
maintenance changes and upgrades
-
Maintain a team approach and function as one of the key
members of the programming team
Requirements
-
Minimum 5 years experience in software development with
Microsoft Visual Development tools (Visual Studio 2005)
-
Minimum 3 years experience in a senior development role
-
Strong hands-on business experience with a variety of
programming languages including C++ and C#. Experience in any of .Net, ASP
or PHP considered assets
-
Strong hands-on business experience with SQL Server.
Experience with Oracle considered an asset

Strong analytical and problem solving skills
-
Previous experience with software development in the
Financial industry including FIX protocol (4.x)
-
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in
English and demonstrated ability to interpret detailed information in the
pursuit of solving complicated problems
-
Ability to understand and address the needs of end users
-
Ability to work through complete software life cycle;
testing and bug fixes
-
Ability to work under pressure and self-motivate
-
Ability to prioritize tasks and to adapt to shifting
priorities and deadlines
-
Willingness to learn new computer systems and skills
-
Knowledge of stock market or financial industry
considered an asset
